Call For Action

Sign the PAWS petition to get King the Gorilla a Better Home!

PAWS, the Progressive Animal Welfare Society are petitioning on behalf of "King", a wild-caught 27 year-old silverback gorilla in captivity at Miami's Monkey Jungle, a for-profit organization that lost its zoo accreditation years ago.

The world-renowned experts at Zoo Atlanta have offered to rescue King from his pathetic home. At Zoo Atlanta, King would live with other gorillas on over four acres. There, King would have trees, grass, open space, companionship and dignity. And exemplary care: Zoo Atlanta specializes in rehabilitating solitary gorillas, like Ivan and Willie B.
